Lifeguarding

I had a lot of fun at this job this Summer. There were quite a few LDS kids that work there too that made it fun and I didn't feel like I was working the load like I was the next Summer. The next Summer I quit early because there were quite a few lazy workers there that pretended to work and had vulgar discussions. Looking back on these pictures I realized that I didn't get any pictures with my LDS friends. :-(

Lucia from Slovakia

Making a funny face. I love my summer blonde hair in this one.

Working the river.

How many lounge chairs can you lift?

Sitting in the hamper after smashing the towels in.

The rental room.

Chillaxing on the the lounge chair stack. We had to stack them like this every evening if you were on the closing shift. Most the time I was.

Playing in the towel rental room.

The next summer (2006) wasn't near as fun. I felt like one of the few the actually looked at working her as a job and not entitlement to get paid to sit on your butt. Most of the workers complained when they didn't get a tip and stood around talking when it was time to clean up the deck.
